Hot Trend: The Jumpsuit..
One of the major trends for s/s 2010 is the jumper (the jumpsuit) or as some call it the playsuit..
originally the trend started at the late 60’s ..came back in the 80’s with its pop vivid colors and puffy structure..
the first thing that pops in to your mind when anyone says jumper is DISCO MUSIC and the early years of MTV..
and it has been coming back and forth in fashion spotlight from time to time..but now it seems that its going to be staying in for long ..
the wonderful thing this time is that it comes in many styles and materials ((including leather))!!,,and many designers have put one or two jumpers in their collections ..
what I like the most about the new jumper trend is that you can wear it day and night and changing the whole concept by just the accessorizing it differently .. so weather you wear it for going out for lunch with the girls or at a party ..

Glamorous: seen perfectly in Lanvin’s show for s/s 2010 ..Alber Elbaz didn’t just made the jumpsuit but combined it with other current trends (the one shoulder – and over the top embellishment )..it could easily replace the evening gown by that look..
Project Runway Winner is Revealed
as expected by everyone ,, Irina was crowned as the winner of project runway in its 6th cycle..
Irina says that her collection is “what it takes to survive in the city as a woman!”
it was an all black collection with a hint of gray in some pieces .. this had Nina Garcia concerned that it wouldn’t do her collection good in editorials ! which was so true looking at the difficulty of capturing shades out of black garments ..
I liked the head pieces and all the accessorizing .. the chunky knits..and the 13th look that Heidi surprised the three finalists was outstanding !! (more…)
Work His Jacket
the over sized boyfriend jackets are back from the 80s .
mostly we have seen the boyfriend blazer paired with ripped jeans and white t-shirts.
here are some tips u could use
* make sure u choose a masculine loose jackets but still with a touch of femininity.
*Wear a delicate blouse under a blazer or choose a top with a romantic color and print or even a chiffon evening gown as we have seen ina Ralph Lauren’s fall 09 .
*or you can mix it with some bold pieces and graphic tees , modern animal prents and some retro style accessories with a spash of neon colors.
*pile some jewelry such as gilt chains and cuffs.
*you have to show off your statement shoes!.
*keep the jacket un-fastend and scrunch up the sleeves for a Miami vice-style.
*Use natural color make-up , and lose the fake tans or eyelashes! .

The 2.55 Chanel Bag
most of us if not all know the chanel classic flap bag which is called the “2.55″ bag, its designed by Coco Chanel in the 20’s since she got tired of carrying her hanbag in her arms so she added a thin straps and it got intruduced in the 1929. she updated the handbag after her successful comeback and added special features to it like the double chain shoulder strap, burgundy color lining that represents the uniforms at the convent where she grew up , a front lock called “the Mademoiselle Lock” and a zipper in the front flap. That’s where Chanel is rumored to have stored her love letters in her original bag.
the special thing about the 2.55 of course beside the history of the bag!, is that it never gets old and you can either dress it up or down how ever your mood takes you.
